The files gadget in the dashboard gives you overview of all your files attached in all tasks across all projects.

In the files gadget overview you will see latest uploaded files in all projects, and how much storage you have used and how much you have left.
Files and documents inside each project
If you would like to see what files and documents are in each of the projects then click on the right to see the project.
Once you are viewing the project you will see latest uploaded files in that project and all files in the project.
